Lesson Terms

The short version
- Try before you pay: your first 30-minute lesson is free, with no obligation.
- No subscriptions: you pay once for each session or package, and nothing renews automatically.
- You can cancel within 14 days of paying, for any reason (see how to cancel).
- After that, we don't refund unused sessions, but your sessions never expire. Use them whenever you like.
- If something isn't right with a lesson, tell us and we'll put it right.
1. Who we are
These terms are between you and Ali Issa, a sole trader, trading as Arabic Bridge ("we" or "us").

2. What you're buying
- One-to-one lessons: a single session, or a package of 4 or 8 sessions.
- Group classes: a block of 8 sessions (about a month of classes), priced per person.
- Every session is 1 hour, online on Zoom through our Wise platform.
- All sessions are recorded. Our Privacy Policy explains why and who can watch the recordings.
- GCSE and A‑level are taught one-to-one only.
- If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian buys the lessons, and our agreement is with them.
3. Prices and paying

- Prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include any tax.
- The price is fixed once you've paid.
- You pay in advance through our Wise payment portal. Card payments are processed by Stripe.
- No subscriptions. Every payment is a one-off, for a single session or a package. There's no subscription and nothing renews automatically, so you're never charged again unless you choose to buy more lessons. If you'd like more lessons, just buy another package.
- Prices shown in other currencies on our website are a guide only. You pay the price in pounds.
- When you pay, we'll email you a copy of these terms.
4. Booking your lessons
- One-to-one lessons: you agree the times with your teacher.
- Group classes for brothers and sisters: you choose the times.
- Group classes with other students: the class has set times.
5. Your 14-day right to cancel
You can cancel anything you buy (a single session, a package or a block of group classes) within 14 days, starting the day after you pay. You don't need to give a reason.
If the 14th day falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you have until the end of the next working day.
If lessons start within the 14 days
- If you book a lesson that takes place within the 14 days, you're asking us to start straight away. When you book, we'll ask you to confirm this by email or WhatsApp.
- If you then cancel within the 14 days, you pay only for the sessions you've had, at your package's price per session, and we refund the rest.
- If you've used every session, there's nothing to refund.
How to cancel
Email or WhatsApp us with your name, what you bought and the date you paid, before the 14 days end. You can use the form below, but you don't have to.
Your refund
We refund you within 14 days of hearing from you, to the same card or payment method you used, with no fee.

6. After the 14 days: no refunds, but your sessions never expire
After the 14 days, we don't give refunds for sessions you haven't used. This applies to single sessions, packages and group classes.
If you can no longer take lessons at all, for example because of serious illness, tell us and we may refund your unused sessions at your package's price per session.
Your sessions never expire. They stay on your account, so you can use them whenever you like.
Group classes
Group classes are bought as a block of 8 sessions, just like a package. There's nothing to cancel when they're used up: if you'd like to carry on, just buy another block. Any group sessions you've paid for but haven't used stay on your account.

8. Missed and rearranged lessons
- Tell us at least 24 hours before a lesson or class, and the session is kept. This applies to one-to-one lessons and all group classes. For one-to-one lessons and brothers-and-sisters groups, we'll rearrange it. For groups with other students, it stays on your account to use in a later class.
- With less notice, or if the student doesn't join, the session counts as used.
- If we cancel, or your teacher can't make it, we'll rearrange at no cost or refund that session, whichever you prefer.
- If the student joins late, the lesson still ends at the usual time.
9. Your sessions never expire
Your sessions never expire, whether you bought a single session, a package or group classes. Any sessions you haven't used stay on your account, so you can use them whenever you like.
10. If something goes wrong
Lessons must be given with reasonable care and skill. If a lesson isn't, or your teacher doesn't turn up, tell us and we'll put it right or refund that session. This applies at any time, including after the 14 days.
If you have a complaint, contact us and we'll reply within 5 working days.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
11. When we may end lessons
We may end lessons if a student or parent behaves abusively or puts anyone's safety at risk.
If we end lessons, can no longer provide a suitable teacher, or stop running lessons, we refund every unused session at your package's price per session. This applies at any time, including after the 14 days.
12. Changes
If our prices change, packages you've already bought aren't affected. If we update these terms, the terms in place when you paid apply to that purchase.
13. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live outside the UK, you may also have rights under the law where you live.
